Hey Guys,

I am a semi regular on this forum. I was thinking about getting a Iroquios Hawk. I know a lot of you have them. I was wondering if you could share with me your impression of this hawk. In terms of weight, balance, edge holding ability, and anything about this hawk that jumps out at you. In addition, I would also like you know what you don't like about this hawk. All info or pics that you can share with me is appreciated.

Thank you

Casey

Go for it, it's a great hawk for the money. It's fairly light and well balanced, holds a decent edge, shows up sharp but not razor/shaving sharp, throws real well, thin bit (which I personally prefer). Only downside would be if you want a meatier hawk compared to H&B it has a thin bit, light head, and slim handle. Head's attached pretty damn well to the handle, hasn't come loose yet and I throw it a good bit. Don't have any pics right now but maybe I'll take some.

Haven't done much chopping with it yet, I'm sure it would but I've only used it for small stuff using my gransfors for most chopping
