Fort Wainwright PX

I'm headed up to Alaska for a few weeks of Army training, but not necessarily a lot of field training. Despite that, I'd like a decent fixed blade to throw in my pack for hiking and such. How is the selection there? Does it suck like every other PX?

When I was stationed there ,in the mid 60's,they even sold some firearms as I recall....probably
not now though....and as far as knives go, it'd almost certainly be best to take your preference
with you.
