Forum 110/112??????????

Searching thru the archives I found a thread about having a Forum Buck made up! Does any one else think this is a good idea ?????? It was on page 11 about 1999....... I would prepay and wait 6 months or so! I also vote it to be a 112, any configuration! Joe what do you think? Buck Nut! with a acorn???

Bladeforums.com does make up Forum knives quite often...I'm new here, and have never seen a Buck Forum knife, but the Buck people are a very very small minority of the Bladeforums community and it probably wouldn't be very popular with the membership at large...

And yes, this has been brought up before here in the Buck forum...but died due to lack of interest...

I think the 112 would be cool. Maybe if we could get Joe on board, we could get an over-run on the up-coming Club 112 blades, with a different inlay material. Just a thought

I "think" the minimum run is 50 pieces.
Not certain if I would get one, unless it kicked donkey.
BCCI knives are the ones I like, where the peeps there are sirus enuf about Buck to pay a few bucks for a lot of Buck information.
But, I don't want to piss on anyone's Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade...well, at least I wouldn't do that and tell ya it's raining.

Here's a quick & dirty rundown, from my limited reading of posts here (mostly by J. Houser)...It's been posted that 250 is the minimum for a limited run...Let's say it's a 110 w/premium steel blade and custom scales...And Buck quotes $100 per knife...That's $25,000 that Buck would want paid in advance...

The BCCI does runs of less than 250, but they are an established customer; trusted and dependable...same for Cabela's, Bass Pro, AG Russell, etc...

Some large companies have done limited runs, with inlaid logos, or inscribed blades, but even with run-of-the-mill 110's, you're still talking about a quarter of your yearly earnings to get the run made...

...But you can put me down for one...I'm good for it...

i inquired on this almost 2 years ago.. about the time i went to scotts house..
from what i recall it would be possable... it would take some doing but could be done...
all paid in advance ... the issues would be decideign on the style and dress of the knife...ie bras / nickel/ stag/ wood ect/ cut out or MP or s30v ect/
and there in lyes the main issue .. oh and the 112 vs 110 aspect...
i would be willing ot order two in 110 with NS but not brass or wood and none in 112...
eich goody like stag horn or type of wood and
steel type used has its own price tag
the shoping list can get expensive
if i would work on assting in setting up such a order my vote would be on the new 111 frame with radisus bolsters so as to be a real buck formite order!
111 are still not a common issue ... any one can order a "custom" 110
so my thought is why not have it truly unike? and a 111 is unike!!!

Yep, Trax, I looked at the special projects data from the BCCI newsletter. All the smaller jobs that I saw were recognized names for the most part.

And that is a cool idea Dave...111. I would most likely go for one of those...or a 1xx fixed.

Yeah, Decaf has "Buck pull" that is for sure :thumbup:

And, I already did "second" on the 111 Trax...you'll "third" it
But yes...would have to be NS.
