Greetings you all,

Just strange the way you get influenced by the various knife forums.

Before I had a computer with internet I didn´t care about a little play in a pocket knife or a little off centred blade.

I just liked and used the knife like it was and didn´t give it a second thought.

Nowadays, when I get a new knife I check it for the tiniest amount of play and get annoyed about it.

Filed off the key ring from my Farmer/Pioneer only to make the action of the awl grittier.
Strange, because the key ring of my issued Pioneer during my mandatory army days never bothered me a bit during those 14 months.
Back in the civillian world I whittled numerous daggers out of branches for my son without a bit of annoyance of the loop.

But after joining the knife forums it all changed.

Sometimes I see a knife as a piece of art and has to be perfect. Even a "cheap" Alox SAK.

But I want to change that a bit and just enjoy my EDC for what it is, so I ordered a New Pioneer and try to leave it just like it is and simply enjoy using it instead of worrying about a loop or that the tip of the blade very slightly kisses the back of the SD/combo tool.

Should receive it tomorrow or so and I'm curious how this will work out.

Are there anymore of you with the same thing?

Just curious.

Thanks for reading
