Forums of this outstanding calibre are of invaluable importance to knife lovers. I'm quite new to the knife world and already I have learned more then I ever expected. This forum is a dependable guide throughout every detail of knives. I can only imagine that I would screw up if I didn't have this helpfull resource that also welcomes the input of even the most modest of knife-lovers. All and all this forum allows an individual to acquire more info then one would gather if their was only the (costly and frustrating) process of trail and error, to find out where exactly the merrits and pitfalls are hidden. I will strongly recommend this forum to anybody who will here me. I'm also contemplating to upgrade my membership, and so to dispose of guided gathering of info with the search option, I have to admit that the vast quantity of information often overwhelms me and even can paralyse me.

Is a fancier membership fit for gathering information in a more guided manner or can't you really avoid to overcome bits of info that are irrelevant to you (yeah, this hobby is both consuming and rewarding ;-) )

You're a fast learner, the Search Function alone is worth the price of a membership here. Not to mention being able to post pics from your desktop and sell your knives here. Believe it or not there will come a time when you'll have more knives than you know what to do with. There are folks that have been here for years and have hundreds if not thousands of posts that haven't come to the obvious conclusion that you have in the short time you've been here, that BFC is an incredible source of knowledge, and worth supporting.

BladeForums is a community made up of knife lovers of all levels of experience. I have watched as many that came here knowing little have gained tremendously from the input of others here that are willing to share what they know. In turn, these members are now doing the same for others.

Personally, I believe that the price of an upgraded membership is a pittance when you consider what it gets you. The most important part is that the money that goes towards memberships helps to keep this site alive. Every penny that goes towards memberships is used in maintaining this great resource and everyone that regularly takes part here should be willing to do their part in helping keep BladeForums the cutting edge knife forum that it is.

My cash is on its way to express my evalution of this site. I reckon that a gold membership will pay itself because it helps to choose what you really want and helps you to avoid some common pitfalls. Why not benefit of the scouting of fellow knife-lovers. The love for steel is at least one thing that we have in common :-)
