I'm still new here....... A BUCK forum knife?? There must be a ton of ways to go with something like this.

Group factory order or individual orders with the Custom Shop with the same etch or something - that would allow those interested to get what they want. Slip joint to lock blade to fixed. BUCK makes something for everyone and at different prices.

Or we send our own BUCKs to one of the knife smiths here.

I haven't seen a thread on this, what is the word?

A Buck forums knife would be really nice I think, especially if it was something affordable.

You can go over to the Traditional Forum and they usually do a forum knife. You can see all the ups and downs they go thru in some threads on the subject.

Someone usually has to be in charge and get the vote for what model. Over there they have to pick a maker also.
Then there is a minimum number that must be ordered.

Likely with Buck there is a minimum custom order. It use to be 200 but that was just for special shield or printing on the blades. I do not expect you would be able to get much more that fancied up production models. Maybe special steel and scale. I do not know what Bucks conditions for custom orders are now. If you are interested you can write Joe Houser at Buck. As in any manufacturing business money talks, want 200 fancied production models we might can do it, order 5,000 and they will be calling you.

The Buck Collectors Club, gets a couple of special order knives offered to club members each year. The only one I was involved with was the white scaled 301. We ordered 200 and ended up selling them to anyone who wanted one as members did not buy them all. They had to re-coop the money invested. Buck does not float a loan.

As I said I do not know a lot but there are a few considerations for the question. Just for info. you can now join BCCI with a cheap Email membership and gain all the benefits but no paper in mail. Sometime soon there will be a new BCCI website with improved services.

Thanks 300Bucks, BCCI is definitely a good way to go BUCK. I would still be interested in something from this side of the forums, but I recognize it can be a ton of work & all. I wouldn't be able to cover the financial upfront costs of something like this. I'm definitely still interested if however many folks here want to do something.

BUCK makes something for everyone, and the knives lend themselves well to modifications if wanted.
