I use Str8ShooterEsq as my forum name on this and all other forums in which I participate. I am curious if other folks use the same name across forums or different ones. I believe using the same name across forums holds me more accountable for what I say and lets people get to know me better. What are your thoughts? What do you do?
 
I am TKC or TheKnifeCollector on all knife forums. I agree with you, that it helps people to get to know one better and to establish ones self.
 
Pretty much the same on all forums, if their software allows a name this long.

If not some form of BCCL.
 
I use the same handle everywhere. For some odd reason, it never seems to be already in use when I register. The same cannot be said of my real name.
 
Oh I really don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. I have enough trouble finding my way home.
 
I use differant names for different forums.I try to think up something that has to do with said forums and be original.On Ted Nugent's forum I am known as Nugebowmofo.My online poker name is Ilikeshootin,it has nothin to do with poker but it's what I like to do and is usually a conversation starter.

There is another knife forum??:rolleyes: I usually register my real name, never been refused as everyone else seems to use odd ones. Now really, is there another knife forum?

I use two names on knife/outdoor forums and two names on all the others. When I switched providers, I switched names, and on another knife forum they had a rule where I had to change my name if I left and came back after a certain amount of time.

I think using one's actual name holds one more accountable for what one says.
 
Hey Phil, when did you change from Razoredge?
 
Different names at different places reflecting the 'feeling' of the Forum plus there's a lot to do with the mood I'm in at the time I have joined the forum.

I also don't care if I have to rejoin and start from '0' again with .

Maybe if I had had given name I liked or was so cleaver to think up something original things may have been different. :o
