Forum performance, noticed something a bit strange.

I have been noticing something about the forum holding on to information I never posted. I don't know if it would help it the server.

Whenever typing out long posts I see the yellow "auto-save" indicator pop up. This has been a great feature, and restored lost text entries pretty reliably. However I have noticed the "Restore Auto-Saved content" button (only shows after the server has stored some text) saves the unposted text in the "restore" feature for quite awhile sometimes. Days old quotes, and text can sometimes reappear.

I don't know how many people type things out and then fail to post them, or quote someone, and then decide not to post it, but I have been doing it a little more than usual lately.

I don't personally use it, but it's helpful to others. It shows up 60 seconds after you start typing a post.

We clear out the autosave area every so often.

Well, neat. I never even noticed this existed. I've lost a few posts and just retyped them.
