Forum Tab

Anyone else having trouble with the Forum Tab at the top of the page? It is located by Home, Forum, Blogs, What's New, Forum Categories, and Exchange.

Everytime I try and use it it takes a few minutes to load and usually locks up my computer.

I never looked at it before so I just clicked on it now. Loaded immediately.

It's my default page for BFC and I never have problems.

It's been doing that to me for a week. It happens on my desktop PC with Win 7 and IE 8 with all available updates (except IE 9), and on a netbook with Win 7 Starter and IE 8, agin with all available updates installed. My cheap Vizio tablet with some version of the Android operating system and default browser doesn't have any trouble loading it at all. Go figure.

I tried logging out, and the page loaded just fine. When I logged back in, I had time for a game of Solitaire waiting for that page to load.

I just cleared my cookies and logged out and it took forever to get logged back in too. I've found alternate ways to navigate the forums without using that tab so not a big deal anymore.

I'm running Vista and IE 8 so maybe the IE 8 is where the trouble is?

Hi guys -

There is a known bug in IE8 with pages using the "base" tag -

Might be the problem. I have no issue, running IE7/Vista pro

I use google chrome/vista, and have been using for some time now, and have never had a problem with load-time.

I'm using Win7 (64-bit) and Firefox 8.0 browser with no such issues.
