Now there is an idea! But who in the world is going to do the research? heh. Heh I will have to mention the idea when I call Spyderco again tomorrow.

How about Forumites just post what they have, or have seen. I feel like with the diversity of talent and "Sal and Dex " as back up it would be a sucsessful project. My motivation for this is to help me recognize these knives as I go about my collecting,as well being able to up date my note book with each purchase.

Spyderco's Website has the history and basic models listed by year. You post what you think is of interest. I'll add in the oddballs (as I remember them) in the time frame they fit??

We've had more than 60 models over the past 20 years with no doubt hundreds of variations. Ken Delavigne has written a book on these. Paladin is planning to publish it. should be out early 2K.
I noticed on the common carry thread some of the oddballs. Some one has a Spur...pretty rare, but ecxellent model. I saw an ATS-34 Titanium handle Police model. another rare and excellent piece.

I have a titanium-handled ATS-34 police. I bought it as a user and scratched it up a bit. Then I realized it was a limited model (duh!) and stopped using it. I love that thing! Would like to use it more, but it is discontinued after all...

Joe - Spyderco knives are meant to be used! Horses to run, Fast cars to go fast. The spirit of the design is not realized just locked up in a box. Just don't lose it. sorry for the rant.
