Howdy all, RNM here from the greater Indy area, USA. I'm a bit of a "Hey I could do that" kind of feller. Why pay someone else to do something when I can watch a few YouTube videos and take three times as long and half the quality as the professionals . I'm a bit of a 90% as well, so all my projects are practical and functional but will always lack that extra something to take your breath away... and I'm OK with that for now. If you can't tell I believe in boldness and honesty, as everything else tends to stall or derail the goal.

I love creating in my detached shop, from furniture to trinkets, and lathe turned pens. Zone 5 creates a nice climate for a decent garden which keeps my outside time distracted just enough to keep buck fever at bay until fall.

I'm here because I've spent he last several months researching making knives as a hobbiest. Now that I've read all I can its time for some questions and rebirthing a few dead horse threads to kick around some :)

The personalities here seem pleasent so I'll thank y'all ahead of time for the warm welcoming and hospitality. See you in the discussions, can't wait to debate how my Gerber is better than your Cold Steel and whether or not I can use my old lawn mower blade to make a quality EDC.
