Forums seem faster? Lags gone?

We've had a couple hiccups, but I think things have smoothed out now. What about you guys?

Had a hiccup this morning once, but even the "server not responding" error came very quickly and was remedied by hitting the reload button just once. She came back up instantly. It is MUCH better so far! Thanks for your continued efforts to make this happen.

My first lag was Thursday night, got it while replying to post. Seemed like forever, but know it was 10 to 15 seconds. Right now, when hitting the new posts button, my pages pop up in .02 Seconds. That is the fastest I have ever gotten. I appreciate all the work you have gone to, the server seems to be responding well. Time will tell.

I would say it is much improved over, say, a month ago...but better than (or even as good as) other Forums??? Only time will tell...

I haven't had any connection denials since a few days back, when you were duping the thingamabob...

Edit: There is one thing I've noticed...When skipping from S&S to GB&U, there is a lag of about a second or two...then it kicks in & changes to the new sub-Forum...

Looking all right on my end. There were a few lags, just like the bad old times, before the latest, err, server.. database.. something you did-techy thing.

Getting better and making progress apparently. :thumbup:

There are always going to things that will cause cause servers to slow down. No matter how good things get, they won't ever be perfect. For me, the forum is running far better than what would be required for me to spend time here every day.

Thanks, Spark, for all that you have have put yourself through to make Bladeforums by far the number one knife forum (in my opinion).

Started seeing dem ol' lag-time blues again in the 2-3 days before the last (fill in tech terms here) upgrade earlier this week, but since then, not a one!

BUT, why when I log in does it then say I am not logged in or a current member but I can proceed to the forums anyway?? I can log out ok even though I'm officially not logged in....
