I feel like I have been attacked here several times by a forum troll and bully. None of the admin or moderators seem to help.
What should I do? Is there anyone here who can listen with an open intelligent mind?

Sir I don't know who you are or what your experience of the forum is (that's forum experience, not knife experience). I see you have been a member for many years but only have minimal posting experience.
Conversely Elliot, (Blues) has been a member and moderator here for almost a quarter of a century.

You and some other members posting in that thread have been given a polite warning from him. My advice is heed that and move on. If there is a member here that you don't like put them on ignore and move on.
It's the internet, there will be those you agree with, those you don't, and those you simply can't stand. Deal with it and move on.

Elliot is one of the nicest most laid back guys you never want to screw with...........trust me on this and move on.

I am an award winning Author of 2 books on knives. A great accolade for the knife hobby. I’m also the most knowledgeable collector son antique and vintage Italian knives on Earth with catalogs and documents to back up everything I know.

It seems every time I post here the same trolls attack me. And it seems nothing is ever done about it.

Sure, I’ll take your advice and put them on ignore mode and then they can just keep on bad mouthing me all they wish…

You keep bleating about your books, and your expertise. Literally, no one cares who you are. The tone in which you post is condescending and rude, which is why you are encountering static here. Your knowledge and authorship experience are meaningless. So, no one is going to be banned because you don't like them. The Admins have been very patient with you, maybe you could write another book called "How I Learned To Take a Hint". I'm sure it'd be a best-seller.

Well your problem is that everyone else is reading it too, champ. Your books are irrelevant, and no one cares who you are. Maybe don't mention them ever again, because no one cares, and no one sees you as an authority on anything. Thanks!
 
I would find it a wee bit insulting if I were a known custom maker and posted up my works and literally state they are custom, and some one that claims to be published in the field and a self proclaimed expert would off the bat assume they were merely kit knives.

The following sentence is a fair question to someone not in the know.
To a published expert, not as much.

"How does one know the difference between a kit knife and a home made one in a back yard garage?"

You have made snide, disrespectful comments about a respected long term contributing members knives, and have now asked for him to be banned.

It shows that you are not just here to discuss knives, you are here to tell us how we should discuss knives.
