Anyone have any experience with Fossil? They have some titanium models that look pretty good.

Paul,
I had one that was titanium with a gunmetal dial with the chronograph timing movement(the one with 3 smaller dials). I paid $125.00 for it about 2 years ago. Very good for the price, considering it is water resistance for 660 ft\200 meters, and comes with a 11 year warranty. You can see it here http://www.fossil.com/Product/Product.asp?Tier1=Mens&Tier2=MW&Dept%5FID=MW&Cat%5FID=MW12&Prod%5FID=TI5010&Color= . I haven't worn it for about a year, because my wife got me an Omega Seamaster Pro for my last birthday

My girlfriend got me the limited production fossil Klingon watch. Every detail of the watch is excellent - -they even made the leather band to look like Klingon armor. It's quite accurate, and looks great. My only complaint (and it's a small one) is that the glow in the dark stuff on the hands isn't as good as some other watches. It needs a pretty good kick of a charge - - under a 100 watt clear bulb for about a minute usually, to give it enough to last 5 hours- - and the last two hours it's quite dim. Fortunately, that's not a very big deal to me since it's not my everyday watch (it was a limited production that you can't get anymore and I don't want anything to happen to it) and I don't like glow in the dark watches anyway - -there are times when I don't WANT light on me to be seen and in those cases the watch just messes stuff up.

It's the second one down on the page. the pic doesn't really do it justice though- - that red background is a fire-red metallic foil, and the leather in teh picture looks all cracked- - it isn't on the actual watch.

A nice detail of the watch is that the rotating timer dial's numbers are written in klingon.

My girlfriend also has a fossil watch - -- just a regular ladies' watch with a deep blue face and a rounded crystal. Looks very nice and she says it's extremely accurate. She's had it for at least a decade, has replaced the band twice and the crystal once when it got scrached up after she whacked it hard against something - - The crystal cost her 12 bucks (labor included) and was done by Fossil (she mailed it in).

In short, I'd rate fossil as a "buy" watch.

I had a Fossil military style watch few years back and had multiple problems with it. The battery died and the jeweler couldn't get back of and ended up scratching it. I received the watch back and then I jarred the second hand off.

The battery died again and then at that point I tossed it into the draw and eventually discarded it. It got it on sale and it seemed like it was a nice watch for the $.

I don't know if they are a lot better now or what, but Fossil watches leave me with a bad taste in my mouth.
