Sorry to bring back up a knife I got back in May but this knife is a real favorite

Great knives without great leather are only half as great :D

Most of my favorite knives have 3 or more sheaths for different types of carry

Burt's leather work and especially this sheath are fantastic but I wanted a scout style sheath for this piece and Paul was kind enough to make this piece of perfection

Not only will this sheath ride great scout style but it will strap on a pac very securely even upside down.

It is important because this thing is a razor sickle truly scary sharp

In the next month or so I start working on Deer stands mostly scouting for trees for my climber and tree saddle this monster from burt trims shooting lanes fast and makes for a fantastic Bush Knife and a wicked weapon

Two great sheaths for a great knife

Thanks Paul

That blade flows like water. Don't know why Paul doesn't see the beauty in it ?? I'm sure it really pained him to make those sheaths :)

That's been one of my favorite Fosters.

Paul can do it all,too.

John

Burt as you are John is in a class of his own.

I will only carry a big knife scout or sash style and drop leg sheaths IMHO suck for big knives. I can apreciate the fine inlayed sheaths that he does but for me the artistry in a sheath is how it wears and carries . In this aspect as well as being the best at fancy Paul also rules

I cant stress how good of a sheathmaker Paul is

Everyone knows that he makes the most beautiful sheaths but why I love his work so much is that he also makes the toughest sheaths for there weight out there. Sure there are guys that make some tough stuff but due to what I believe is because of the way he lines his sheaths which is basically a laminated sheath they are extremely durable and truly will last a life time of hard use.

I am truly blessed to have Paul as a friend and to be able to get him to do working sheaths for me

He may not like it but I love him for it

Wait; I saw the title and came in here expecting info about a dessert(Bananas Foster; get it?) :D :D :D

Love that whole package Joe eventhough I know little of kukris. So do you carry that horizontally across the back then?

I love that you use your knives too.

Thanks Buddy with the scout sheath you carry it across the small of the back as long as it is worn on an overbelt it will not pull your pants down and is very comfortable

This is more of a hybred Kukri and it is very fast in the hand and has great balance

As I know you are a huge Bowie fan this blade has something about it that makes me in a true wilderness setting probale the blade I would grab
