I had the good fortune to try out a Foster Fears Survival knife from the Passaround Forum Link to thread is here
This is a 440c blade
Blade length 4.25 cutting edge
G10 orange scales Can also be had in black and tan.
Sheath is nylon with a plastic insert.
Link to Foster Fears Website is here
It's worth the look at this knife and site.
Fits the hand mighty nice with AOL of 9 inches
The orange G10 is nice and grippy even with gloves on
440c is a fine steel and this held an edge a long time. The grind is a great example of a sharp user blade.
I stabbed, sliced and prodded with this knife.
The spine has thumb filework to aid in gripping. I found the thumbramp to be too aggressive and I would file them down if I was fortunate to have one of these.
Here I have it lodged in a log and tried to bend it. THe knife is rock solid full tang
When I was done slicing and dicing I sharpened a stick on both ends stuck one end in the ground and whittled away.
Pretty cool knife
