I hate seeing stuff like that. They even go so far as to use silver boxes. Any little detail to fool the uninformed knife buyer. I wouldn't buy anything from that brick and mortar store.
Unfortunately it's a rather large chain. Although I've been told their online and in-store businesses are separate, they share the same name. This was at a Cheaper Than Dirt location in North Texas. I'm not sure if Kershaw does anything to fight knockoffs (like the thread in the spyderco forum), but just wanted to expose this one. It just looks like crap.
It's the store in ft worth Texas. It's in their retail store which is actually called cheaper than dirt outdoor adventures
Thank you! Was the Boa the only copied model or were there others there as well? Shooting info over to legal as I type this...![]()
Any updates on this?
In what city precisely is this CheaperThanDirt? They do and I can send some contact info to their legal team who'll throw some hot stuff over to them.
Hmm. What if I were to take my real Boa into the store with me and get a manager or someone and tell them they're selling counterfeit products? I know Knivesandguns was going to contact Kershaw's legal team but I don't think that did any good. I don't want to act on Kershaw's behalf, but that is some BS right there.
