So, I found a BRKT knife at a pawn shop in town. It looks like it's a wolf river with black micarta. Looks MINT. Seriously, still factory oiled. They're asking 99, and I can get lower. I can't find much on this online. The most Ive got was that it's A2 steel, and it's a good convexed knife. But, is this a good price? What are peoples opinions?

Let me know if this is against the rules in any way (I don't think I'm deal spotting...)

Thanks!

EDIT: OH! AND! It says first production on the back of the blade. The sheath is perfect as well (tho, I've never seen one like this. Just one loop on the side, that's it. )

Take pics and put it up on the forum, or the knifeforum BRKT channel, someone will tell you right away what it is.

Or just buy it. Hell you could probably just sell it for more.

Sounds like a good price. If it is in as good shape as you describe, I wouldn't hesitate.

Buy, Buy, Buy it NOW before it's too late. And get as low a price on it as they will offer, obviously. Even 99 is a good deal, and if you can get like 80 it's theft.

Bark River Knife Collectors Association lists the steel as 12c27. Do not know if it makes any difference to you, but thought you might like to know. Good luck.

Yes, the Wolf River is not made of A2, but 12c27. That being said, it's a GREAT knife. I use one for processing deer.

It is NOT, however, a general purpose utility knife. The blade is very thin, and tall, meaning the edge is super-fine. It is meant for flesh, not wood or bone. It is, purely and simply, a skinner.

So, buy it! And if you're not going to use it, sell it to me!

I think most BRKT's start around $100 even for the mikro series so I'd definitely go for it!

If you end up not liking it, I'm sure you can easily sell it here on BF
