I found this Buck Custom knife that I must have bought some time back and forgot about. It says ALFRED BUCK 1910-1991 on the upswept blade. the handles appear to be real stag and all of the paperwork is in the box along with the sheath. the end of the box says AL BUCK YEARS, 0401-SP1-0, and the number 188 below that. Can anyone tell me more about this knife? Its not for sale, just looking for info. I'm actually a huge Schrade collector so Buck knives are a mystery to me. I'm a new member so I guess I cant post pix. Thanks in advance.

The knife you have is the Al Buck Kalinga from the favorites collection. There were 250 made. This was said to be Al Bucks favorite knife.

Nice knife.

JB - My mistake - You are correct. The kalinga from the favorites set was wood.

These pic's are borrowed. The knife is called the "Al Buck Years" Kalinga. The seller stated there was 250 made

thewiz - Is this what knife you have?
