Found a cool Bic product at the Walmart

Standing in line buying some stuff I noticed an orange Mini Bic packaged with anothe lighter in a cool case. Can't recall what the price was but it was around $3 or so. I figured what the hey and tossed it in with my stuff. Well the case is just the neatest little gadget. It adds a little bulk to the lighter but provides protection from hits,dings, and accidental fuel loss for depressing the button while packed. The yellow body helps with not misplacing it too no matter what color Mini you throw into it :) Anyhoo just thought I'd share.

Yes, Id grab it also. Ill have to see if they are floating around in the Canukia Wally Worlds.

I got a couple of these at Target a few months ago. Protects the valve lever from being unintentionally depressed, as well as some "volume" to hold onto the Mini-Bics when your hands are cold.
 
Damnit Bill... You always find the coolest stuff!! WOULD YA LEAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US!?!?!?!?!?!

Seriously though, with something like that, I'd actually consider putting a Bic BACK in my Survival Stuff.

Another user recently posted an idea on this, he uses a rubber O-ring under the fuel button to keep it from getting pressed down in your pocket or pack. Then he wrapped a few layers of duct tape on it, a couple fishhooks and razor blades, and finished wrapping the tape a couple more times.

It appears the one you found has a keyring/lanyard hole in the lid-- I like that a lot.

I've been using Cricket electronic lighters. They have piezio-electric ignition and a kid-proof lock that keeps it from accidentally venting gas. The body is a little longer and is great for wrapping with tape.
