The first pic is of a bali that I have no idea of what model it is,it looks to be a BM but I could be wrong.I'm wondering if the latch is suppose to be that way,it look's like it's up too high like it's not sitting right. It's not a great pic so bare with me.

This pic is of bali's that I know are no big deal cause i've seen them around before.I was just wondering what they are worth, both by themselves and for the whole set.

Hey,

The pictures aren't comming up.
I'd like to see them, though.

OH, WAIT!!!1
There they are, But I don't know if I'm the knowledgable one on their worth.

The first one looks like the latch is WAY loose.

I didn't really notice that, but yeah it does look really loose like it doesn't lock up tight in the open position.
If the latch is way too loose can it be fixed, and is it even worth it to buy it if it's around the $60-$80 price range?

$60-$80? Judging from the insignia on the blades...You are kidding, right!? What is condition is the / are they in?

That first one is a 129!!! It doesn't look like it locks up tight but there are less than about 200 of them around!! They were supposed to be an inexpensive alternative to regular PC Bali-Songs. The other 3 are PC International Series, I don't know what the prices would be for them ($30 retail almost 20 years ago) but that first one is a great find!!

sabo:
Well I don't have them in my hands, cause i haven't bought them yet,but i'm definatley serious about the price.I'm assuming the 129 is in good condition cause it doesn't look like it locks up tight, but i'm sure the rest of the knife is well taken care of cause this person HAD to be a bali collector.I'm assuming this cause of all the bali's this person has, just about every bali i've posted a pic of,except the BM-35s,came from this person.

balisongman:
So are you saying that it's worth it to pick up the 129 if it's in the $60-$80 price range, cause that would be a good price right?
Also can the bali be fixed so it locks up tight,or would it be strictly a collector piece.

So can anybody tell me what the international series bali's would go for, both individually and for the set?I'm trying to get an estimate of what their worth.Plus nobody gave a estimate of what the 129 could be worth, could somebody help me out here too.TIA

Nobody has given me a dollar value of these knives, could somebody please give me an appraisal of these knives?I really would like to know what the first knife is worth, but i would also liek to know what the PC international series knives are worth, both as a set and individually.
I'm trying to decide if they're worth buying, and what I should offer for them if I decide to buy them.Any help would be greatly appreciated....TIA

On The Advanced Balisong Manual, 129 was priced (MSRP) 50 bucks... and given it is rare (only about 200 pieces around, some might have been junked).. 60-80 seems to be collectible .. IMHO ..

Chuck will be able to provide better estimate though ..

They all four seem to be from Pacific Cutlery's "International Series". This was PC's attempt to defeat cheap imports with cheap imports. Actually, though, PC did a pretty good job of quality control. What they didn't really control very well was the models. It seems that PC's asian supplier just sort of ignored orders and sent whatever they felt like. With each shipment, PC would open the box up and see what they got. If it was like previous ones then they'd reuse the model numbers. If it was one they'd never seen before, they'd assign it a new number and off they'd go. So, I don't know if anyone knows all of the model numbers.

As for value, well, as always, that depends on condition. These pictures aren't good enough to say for sure. But, if they're NIB, then they are worth about $120/each.

The set of three is particularily attractive. Together they're worth a lot more than apart.

The one on the top could be a rare 129.

Don't know much about what they are, but the one on the top looks like the tang pin has worn too much into the handles, considering how close they are at the bottom. How to fix that? Maybe that aluminum tape idea found under "Awww, crap..." that blade_420 tried out... unless it's really worn pins, but the tang pin thing looks more likely.

Gollnick:
First...thanks for your response,it was very informative.
Second...so what your saying is that if they're not in MIB shape they're still worth the $60-$80 price tag?
I'd like to know what I should offer for these knives, since the person didn't give me any price when he sent the pics to me.TIA

the top one is a 129.. yeppers. I have yet ot hold one of those bad boys. and I dont see them offered so I dunno the price.. I woudl pay for one though.. as for the iternation series.. it is a hard sell at 100.00 if they are used.. thats me speakign from experience.

god luck on it.. I htnk they are worth it..

they say there are only 200 129's bt I duno there was supposed to be a VERY small number of 69's and other tantoes and I see them crop up everywhere.

I could be wrong I am no whiz. but this is the 4th 129 I have seen (in pictures) the guy said he'd sell itto me if he ever gets tired so I guess thi is #3.. 197 to go right?
