I found a Gerber mini Applegate-Fairbairn linerlock in Iraq a few years ago. Not my cup of tea, but I mailed it home when I redeployed. A knife is a knife. As almost an afterthought yesterday morning I grabbed it before leaving for a small gunshow in search of a sling for my son. Traded that Gerber for a NY Schrade 108OT as my last act before leaving the show. Cleaned it up yesterday afternoon.

Don't know why I haven't before paid more attention to these gems. They were certainly a whole lot of knife for a little bit of money.

Another gent had a BNIB 152OT Sharpfinger and 34OT Middleman boxed gift set for $65 BNIB. I almost left with it, but I decided to leave it for a collector to snag it as I won't buy any knife I won't use.

I'll be keeping my eye out at next weeks gunshow here in town for a good user USA 34OT.

Same closed length and thickness as my Case Baby Butterbean but lighter. Too bad it doesn't have a spearpoint main blade.

Great little knives. Certainly disappear in the pocket. It's funny that schrade basically built work knives. Knives that people could use or abuse without breaking the bank. Now they are priced up there with case and queen. I saw a buzz saw trapper with white bone handles go for over the triple digit mark.

Your right leghog, "They were certainly a whole lot of knife for a little bit of money" a true working class knife that's for sure!!!

With some of the best carbon steel out there!!!

Nice score!!!
