Hi guys, found a old case at my Grandma's house. my dad said some one gave it to him when he was young (about 50 years ago) seeing how it was a hawkbill it did not get much use. he said it looked about the same 50 years ago as it does today minus the rust.....looks to me like it has never been sharpened (at least not much) any idea on what year it was made? or what model it is?
Thanks for any info:)

The tang has "case xx U.S.A."

The other side has "11011"

I could be wrong but I don't think it has been sharpened much if at all, the tip looks like it's slightly blunted, maybe broke off?

Pics of the handle...any idea what kind of wood?

I belive it is a Pruning knife. From the stamp and dots (9) on the tang, I belive it was made in 1971. Best wishes, Alan

Case started using the dot system in 1970 so it can't be any older than that. Yours looks like a 1970. I have one just like it from 1975. (pics to follow) My records indicate that the handles are Walnut.

Thanks for the info guys! (and the pics)
My dad said it must have been another hawkbill he was given when young, now it's kind of a mystery on how it came into the family:confused:
