Nothing special, it has more sentimental value than any monetary. This was a gift from my father to me when I was eight or nine, it was the first locking knife I owned and I thought it was large at the time. Until this knife I owned a Kamp King and Case 6201 pen knife.
I found it in a box of junk yesterday and pulled it out, to my amazement it was still in good condition, it survived all the abuse a kid would put a knife through, the edge was maintained and no play, handle was white when it was gifted, now more orange from hand and age. I gave it a few passes on a stone a little mineral oil & I'm carrying it today. I have tons of memories of running around in the woods, camping, fishing, making spears etc. I carried it for many years, paired with my Swiss when I got older.
National Blade, a little search seems to be Parker out of N.J. Import from Japan.
6A Quality Steel, is another way of saying AUS-6A, I will say it took a fantastic hair shaving edge.
Here it is......
And next to the peanut for size
I haven't decided if I should polish the brass or leave it.
