I wanted to tell you about an awesome horizontal sheath that I have been using for a couple of weeks now. I prefer the 91mm VIC SAKS but some of the thicker ones can be uncomfortable in the pocket and the normal VIC sheaths I find to be too large. Plus, I prefer horizontal carry on the belt.

This TAD-S2 sheath from Triple Aught Design Gear is very compact, well made and seems to be less noticeable than a vertical sheath. It was a snug fit for my VIC Handyman (1.05” thick) but with use is now perfect. I attached a Photon to help me pull it out. I don’t think that any SAK thicker than the Handyman will fit in it, though. My SwissChamp definitely did not.

The website says that the Leatherman Juice models will fit it too. I believe that you can only get this sheath from TAD and I received perfect service from them. Here's the link:

Looks like a perfect fit. Could you post a couple picts of the sheath on a belt? I'm trying to get an idea of how noticeable it is when riding horizontal.

Thanks!

Binford, sure thing. Here it is on a 1 3/8" wide Wally World leather belt and also a dress belt. Other items for size reference.

Thanks for the heads up. I've often wondered how that sheath would work with a SAK.

Thanks for the pics! Looks like I've found my next purchase :D After seeing the pictures I realized I need to get myself a Ritter Grip too...

Thanks again!
