Found a Spyderco I forgot I had.

I was going through some old boxes of clothes to give away and found a Spyderco in the watch pocket of a pair of jeans I haven't worn in ten years.

It's a tiny knife with black FRN handles and a fully serrated sheepsfoot blade marked Seki Japan. I'm pretty sure I bought it at a gun show shortly before I packed up the jeans and just forgot about it.

I can't seem to find anything about this model. Can anyone tell me the model name, steel, etc?

Some more info is needed. What kind of lock? Blade length? Pics would help a lot.

Ladybug II

Yes, that's it. Thanks!

They were a response to forum requests. Sal got so many people asking for a Rescue Ladybug that he had a batch made. I think 1200 pieces was the minimum order. He wound up selling them below cost to get rid of them, and lost money on the whole deal. Yet he still listens to our harebrained ideas.

Interesting.

My most used and carried knife. Bought here used 10 years ago and it still goes with me every day.

Really?

Initially, it seems like an odd configuration. Many of the tasks a tiny keychain size knife would normally be well suited for, opening packages, etc. would seem cumbersome with no real tip.

Well, my 4 year old is in love with this thing because it fits his little hand and he can open it by himself. I guess it will be his first knife as it was cheap and is about as safe as a knife can be. :D

Absolutely. I see your point about the tip but really I never had a use for it besides picking splinters. In actual use the front serrations will dig in to whatever I'm cutting. The reason why I chose that blade shape is because you can pry and be rougher without fear of losing the tip.

It's like a mini Atlantic Salt. I really like it, such a shame that they made a loss on it. But, also another huge credit to Spyderco and how great they are with listening to their customers.

SCOOOOOREEE!

Thats like finding money in your pocket!

I once found 80 bucks in an old jacket I was about to donate. Made my day. Had a great dinner that night :)
