Guys I found this tanto blade at a local flea market thingy. It was bought from the estate of WWII veteran during the Occupation.
It's about 1/4" thick at it's thickest, has a apple seed type grind to the cutting edge, the top of the spine is tapered almost to a point, the bottom of the tang is tapered almost to a point. There's surface rust, I can't see a hamon and some blobs of paint or plaster on the blade.
Here's some pictures.

from near the tip to show blade shape

full length

closer shot of tang

rubbings of kanji on the tang and poor attempt write the kanji
I'm not concerned about whether or not I bought a $870987987 blade for whatever I paid. I'm just interested in it's past and it's a neat piece for inspiration for my bladesmithing.
