Some of you might of read my thread i posted way back about losing my original TG. It was a sad experience for sure.

Well, I recently purchased one off Facebook, black micarta handle, and the coat was stripped by AZTim?

Happy that I found one, even if it isn't an original TG.

Now I have to find a nice sheath for it. Anyone know of a good sheath? I dont want kydex or any plasticky sheath.

Nice score! Lots of great sheath makers, I think Azula might have some leather sheaths ready to go on ebay or in shop if you ask.

Also there are nice canvas or leather covered kydex which might offer best of both worlds if your open to it. I think David Brown (buybrown) could help you out with that.

this thread might help see who is active these days:

gotchaa, I know that's definitely a turn off for some people. I'm a sucker for low maintenance so I usually lean that way. Good luck finding some nice pants though!

Appreciate the information!
To be honest, I dont like how it feels when the blade is pushed or withdrawn from kydex, even the sound bothers me.

Hedgehog Leatherworks makes some really nice sheaths. No clue on price or time since it would be custom, but they're nice.

Edit: Nevermind, they don't do custom work.

Nice one! There’s a Ramos custom leather sheath over on eBay. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s got a lot of bells and whistles. You might try Armorall Leather, too. They’re here on the Forum.

Nice score !!!!! AzTims striptition finish imo is the nicest finish being only second to Busse comp finish !
Super sweet knife !!!!

Got my TGLB in today!

Wow, it is about half the weight of my first TG, a bit shorter as well.

How can I tell what steel it is? I've read that the steel is printed on the blade, but mine is stripped of the coating.

With BUSSE etched into the knife like in your first pic. I’d say it’s INFI Steel :-) The special edt variant in A2 was marked as such. And had different marking.

That is great news!

Did tglb come in different blade lengths? What is a tgulb?

So I think I have this right.?
1.Original TG full convex grind
2.TGLB
3.Mini TGLB
4.Special edt A2 Steel TGLB
5.TG “blade 14” was a variant , no fuller, clip point swedge, saber grind.
6.TG-P extra long blade length in sr101
7.Forsaken TG slightly longer blade, CBTs, Fuller , swedge

I think I’m missing a battle grade sr101 version ?

The TGULB is a slightly thinner and lighter version of TGLB. It’s currently available on Busse website. Good time to grab a spare direct at cost;):p:p:)

Mostly right I think, but the A2 special edition and the battle grade ones are just TG, no light brigade treatment. There’s also the Crusader TG variant.
