Found a way to improve my DD Shallot

A while ago I bought a blem of the Daniel Defense Shallot because I was attracted to the blade shape of this knife. It uses a rather rough flipper and my fingers would go raw after a few consecutive openings, which was my only dislike about the knife.

So I went to an auction site and got a Kwik Thumb Stud that they happened to have in black oxide finish, which matches the DD shallot perfectly. There was just enough room to install it and I much prefer the thumbstud deployment over the flipper on this design, even if it is fairly obvious that it was not designed with a thumb stud in mind. Now I am looking through my collection to see what other knives would benefit from an added thumbstud :p

It might not look ergonomic, but I like it. They should use the ramped thumbstuds that are on the Blur.

I know, this knife would be amazing with a plain edge. I know Daniel Defense and Ambush Firearms both use this knife design, hopefully some other manufacturer/partner will someday request one in a plain edge version.
