Was walking the local flea market this aft noon and found this older CASE. The main blade is just a little loose but the knife feels solid. It is my first in this pattern, but I remember my Dad having one like it. So I am happy with it. Guessing it was made late 60s.

Thats a nice find, with some good character. Good for you, but not good for the poor sucker who lost it.

With that tang stamp style a 10 dot would make it a 1970 year of manufacture, 9 dot---1971, 8 dot---1972 so on and so forth.

Very nice knife though!!!

No dots on it so I'm thinking late 60's. it has a really sharp edge on it too. My 11 year old is trying to buy it from me now.

Well if you decide to flip it to the kid I hope you make a nice profit on the deal!

That old Carbon steel ought to sharpen up just fine. There may be some surface pitting on it but plenty of steel left on those blades. You could even pretty it up some with a little elbow grease unless you like it just the way it is.

Whoa, nice find. I remember when I was about 11 and convincing my parents to let me buy yet another pocket knife while on vacation. I must of made a good choice because my dad almost immediately traded me his pocket knife for it. I say make a trade with your kid! It will be a memory you both cherish later in life. As a matter of fact, I just got back from visiting my dad and he showed me the knife he traded for all those years ago. He tried to give it back, but I told him to hold on to it...
