Hopefully I can post a picture of a james B. Lile knife and sheath. i had it on my table trying to sell and a vendor told me this was a great knife and worth around $750. any help would be great.

Open up a Flickr.com photo account (it's free). Upload a photo there. Then use the SHARE button over your photo and copy the BBCode (make sure you click on the BBCode button and not the HTML button). Paste the link into this thread.

James Lile made a lot of very good knives and they can certainly go for up to that price, maybe more. Someone bought the Lile name and made knives after that, still marked Lile but with a small dot near the name. These are not worth as much. You can go to the Bernard Levine subforum here, get the contact information for Mr. Levine, and for a small fee he will provide a valuation of the knife. This is probably worthwhile if the knife turns out to be one that is in the $750 ballpark.
