Last fall I posted about my lost 110. I don't know why I had it in my head it was a 110, it's a 112 in a 110 sheath. I've had it since the 70s and it has been with me the whole time with the exception of these few months. Well I found it!

Other than a 74-80 2 dot can anyone tell me more specifically which version/variation it is? Maybe approximate year made?

Real glad to have found it. I was upset beyond all reasonable sensibilty at losing it:)

Congrats on finding it again! Doesn't look the worse for wear & tear from it's absence...Where did you find it???
It looks to be a Catagory III Version 4...The catagory III's were from 1974-1980 so yours would be the latter part of this timeframe...

Thanks sit! It was in a box of books and papers waay back in the closet, so it was in the house the whole time. I swear the last I saw it was in the toolbox in the garage... I am getting way too absentminded!

once I lost a small folder...a nice one with ATS34 blades...I went nuts looking for it...scouring the ground in a couple places where I could remember seeing it "last"...
finally gave up. It showed up about six months later...I had fallen asleep in the recliner and it had slipped from my pocket and got wedged in the recesses of the chair!
One day while vacuming i moved the chair and tilted it...plop...there it was...I just stared in amazement at it...that was a happy day :)

I've gotten used to the fact that at any given time I will have a couple of knives that are MIA.

I've also learned to relax about it. They almost always turn up somewhere after the passage of some time.

I just buy another one if it's something that I need right away. I usually have another available that will do, though.

:)

Totally agree BG... I've got several that I'm trying to lay hands on that I'm not really worried about, even though the monetary loss will far exceed that of the 112. The 112 had me upset because that knife has been with me so long. I have one other missing folder that is still awol that kinda bothers me but not to the level of the 112. As to the rest....oh well:)

I lost a nice Custom Buck in my 2006 MX5 Miata...It dropped down into a small slit in the carpet between the console and passenger seat...To get it back I would have to remove the seat, no small task.Almost ever time I get in or look at it I think of my Buck that's 'lost'...

Sorry to hear that bucksway.... could you get it out with one of those flexible shaft magnets like mechanics use to retrieve dropped bolts and such?
