Have you ever lost a knife?
If you have, you know how much it sucks....

I've been collecting knives for years, only Victorinox knives and such.
And one day, my brother bought me a Spyderco Ladybug for my birthday.
It was my first knife from a brand outside Victorinox.
So I was really excited with it, carried it everyday, everywhere I went.
And one day when I looked at my desk, It wasn't there...
So I searches everywhere for weeks, and gave up.
Now after a year, I was cleaning my closet and searches in a back pocket, and I found it!
So now it is at my keychain, so I won't lose it again.

Post your lost and found stories;)!

Yes, I feel your pain. My Spyderco Gayle Bradley went missing for 4 months. Found it Saturday in the cat litter box room/closet up on the shelf behind the cat carriers.

I've heard good things about the GB Spyderco, everyone seems to love them. I think if I lost one of my great favorites like that my personal life might suffer somewhat...

I lost my Al Mar Sere 2K for about 6 months one time. I just about cried. I went nuts trying to find it.

The day before I noticed it was missing, my wife and a friend of ours went for about a 3 mile walk on the beach in Galveston. I was thinking the worst! I went back to everywhere we stopped. No luck. I had pretty much decided to write it off as lost. I started carrying a Spyderco Military alternating with a Benchmade 710. I like those knives too but it just wasn't the same. My wife found it in the car when she cleaned it out. I felt like I found a long lost friend!

I'm gonna be in Galveston at the end of the month! That's where my fam is from.

Anywho, I'm ecstatic that I found the GB. What a knife it is.

If I ever loose my GB I would immediately replace it, it's the only knife I feel that way about other than my CF Sebenza (which is to much money to immediately replace however I would ASAP).

I once lost my BM 710 and later found it in the yard where the truck had been parked doing some work. It was a depressing few days.

Man, I am never without my Zaan. When I sleep, it's in my pants pocket ten feet away.

Over 7 months ago, on August 17th, 2013, I was down at the pond with my Buck 110, which also happens to be my first knife. It was in my pocket and not the sheath, which was a mistake. I went back to the house, and didn't notice it was gone for another hour. Since then, I have been up and down the trail, in the yard, and at the pond with the metal detector at least 15 times. I finally found it this week, on the 31st of March. It must have fallen in the mud because it was about 4-5 in. underground with grass grown over the top of it. The water level has risen since August, and it was only about a yard or two away from the water. Since I found it, I cleaned it up, got the rust off (luckily no rust pitting), and removed the swollen, water-logged dymondwood scales. Here are some pictures:

P.S.- The knife was closed when I found it, I opened it for the picture.
After Disassembly and Cleanup with Boiling Water, Steel Wool, Brasso, Polishing Compound, Q-Tips, Nevr-Dull, Sandpaper, etc.

All I need to do now is get some new scales and a rocker pin and I'll be back in business!

Wow, that Buck 110 looks better than mine and I've never lost it for 7 months buried in mud!

I lost my Kershaw Leek g10/s30v once. It was my first quality knife and only knife I would EDC. Ended up finding it under the living room couch a few months later. I had already replaced it with a CRKT M16 and that's how I started getting into knives and collecting.

Side note: I think it's the first time I see anybody else from the Houston area on here! Pretty cool.

I lost my BHK bushcrafter with nice wood handles and brass pins sucked so bad!!!! i came home from a hunting trip and had thought i left it in a friends car maybe in the woods anyway i looked high and low for at least 5 hours for it i was so pissed and sad... especially since i can order another one like that because BHK is no more... 3 4 months go by and i get home from work and a friend txt me he is going hunting right now so i rushing to grab all my gear and drive down the road to meet him.. i bend over to grab my gun and there it is stuffed behind my TV i grab it and screamed YES!!!! i LOVE YOU!!! haha i was so happy when i found it. and it was in a mad rush to get going hunting lol. didn't get anything that day except my BHK Bushcrafter and that was plenty reward for the day!!

I found someone else's knife which I went on to carry most of my life, a Gerber FSII which is on the level of a Buck 110. Does that count?

And yesterday I found my heavy, #4 gauge 16' jumper cables after seething and cussing for days thinking they were stolen.

I feel your pain. I lost a large silver dog paws sebenza earlier this year. I have yet to find it. It's one thing to lost a $40 buck 110, it's another to lose a $500 + folder. I am still holding out hope I will find it and it's just misplaced. I have looked for it almost every day since. It's been 3 months now :(

Howdy! You live in H-town? I'm in Atascocita!

To keep on topic - My wife lost a Kershaw Boa with multi colored handle. She had carried that knife every day for about 6 years. She lost it and is still crushed about it. If anybody has one stashed away I would pay good money for one! It would make her day. Hell, it would make her year.

Whoa.... dude. You bought a $500.00 folder and then turned around and carried it like a regular pocket knife? Talk about disposable income. Not to add insult to injury but do you feel smarter now? Thats what $30.00 Kershaw are for.

I would carry it and use it too. What's the sense in spending $500 on a knife to not use it? You car costs thousands, yet you drive it.
Last week, I cut sandpaper with my $120 Native 5.
I paid $210 for my Benchmade Adamas and chopped down saplings to make a trail in the swamp.

Why not use them...??? I am not into safe queens, though I have many sebenzas I don't carry costing way more than that. I love CRK and that's what I carry. I have far from disposable income, I just buy lots of em is all over time.

I've been searching for my Kershaw Boa for 2yrs. It may have gone missing up to 3yrs ago though.
I gave up my computer room to my dad when I moved him in for medical reasons. The last time I saw my Boa was before he moved in. So I've been searching through every box in my house for 2yrs now. I know it's going to show up in the oddest place.

Dude, that brass can be cleaned up in less than 1 minute with some nevr-dull. Some linseed oil on the scales and some Teflon or WD-40 in the locking mechanism, and that knife will be as good as or better than new!

There are several on ebay, but are over $200.

I once lost me Ti Mille for a couple of weeks. It turns out I had left it in a gym bag I rarely use in the side pocket. It had a bunch of crap in the pivot, but after soaking it in oil it was back in my pocket
