Found my Leatherman PST today (Thank God!) but the pliers is too tight. Any ideas?

It is fine except for when the wire cutters come together. It was hardly used before I lost it but if I remember right it came this way.

Wow, I was afraid I was going to have to buy one of the new crap LT came out with. the ones with the plastic junk and all that. For personal reasons I need my tool to be slim so I am very happy tonight!

Hey, the blade is still sharp!

I'd check to see if theres a notch in it from cutting somthing too hard. If there is maybe you can sand/sharpen/etc it back into shape? Have you used WD-40, 3-in-1, or whatever your choice of oil? Sometimes a little oil and playing with it is all it needs... If it can't be fixed, LM's 25 year warrent should cover you, though I don't know what they'd replace it with if it came to all that.
The new ones are great IMO, the plastic is more than durable enough and its many times easier on the hands, but I do agree they are a bit thick... If you want a really slim, easy to carry full sized tool I'd try to snag a Sideclip before they disapear for good! Those things are pretty neat.

Thanks.

I found a little bur on the cutters. Used a paper sanding wheel in my dremel and all is well with the world.

The disparaging remarks about their plastic tools was strictly directed at the $28 low end tool. (I forget the name.)

Great to hear you got it fixed! I put a small dent in my PST years ago, and somewhat fixed it but now it mostly just sits there in my Multi-Tool-Box

I think the low-end tool you mean is the Kick. It's the one without any bells and whistles, but let me tell you it can still do it's share of work... I put the pocket clip on mine and carried a long time at work (used to be in electrical work), and it took plenty of abuse and worked great! It is kinda thick for such a minimalist tool, but the clip made it work for me.
