My wife and I had the day off yesterday, 9/24 so we took off to Elkin, NC. I was taking her to a Thomas Kinkade galary there. Anyway, after lunch at the Cracker Barrel we went to a hardward store advertising knives. They had several brands but there was a good variety of Buck. I bought an NXT II for $15. They had some stag handled 500s and the 700s and a lot more. I thought if any of you all were traveling on I 77 in this area of NC or VA you might want to stop in. I can't remember the name of it but it is just a short distance from the Cracker Barrel at the Elkin/Jonesville Exit on I 77 not far from the I 40 interchange at Statesville. If I had had the cash I would have bought me a stag handled 503 and did put in a hint for my birthday in Nov. They had a good selection. Just in case anyone is interested.

Russell,

You are an evil person. :grumpy: I live in Dallas but happen to be in Asheville, NC on business until Thursday. Unfortunately I don't know if I can break away and get over there during business hours. Hmmm, I wonder if they are open on Sunday? So close but yet so far. Just in case I figure out a way to sneak out. Can you get me closer with some more detailed directions? Is it North or South of I40 on I77, East or West of I77? Just kidding about you being evil. I'm sure everyone appreciates an extra pair of eyes when trying to track down some of the more elusive Bucks. :D

Thanks,

Brian

Sorry Brian about being so late in answering but I'm been out of town myself. In case you are back in the area it would be East on I 40 then North on I 77 to the Elkin/Jonesville then just a short distance past the Cracker Barrel. It is a hardware store with the name 67 (or some number) Hardware. Hope you are back in the area soon. God bless, Russell
