My Dad found this on my old work bench I had as a kid.He remembered me making it so I guess I did.No laughing now,it was made sometime in the 70's...It has a 1/8 inch by 1 inch by 8 1/2 inches long blade and the handle is 4 1/2 inches and looks to be from some scrap wood off the end of a wood box (I used to use that wood for everything as a kid) and then taped on to hold it in place, mostly electric tape...Can't remember if it has pins or not and really don't want to take the tape off to find out and am not sure what the steel is.I do remember using it allot as a kid though...
Hey maybe I will win the ugliest knife contest for this one:D

Bruce -

I didn't even mail my diagram to you yet & my future "dream" knife is already done? Oh well, I'll send the design to you tomorrow anyway!
Take care.

Bruce that's awesome! You obviously had some talent even at that tender age. You're also very lucky to have gotten that knife back after all these years. I wish I had my first one made around the same time as yours with a piece of scrap metal and a file. I was trying for a spear point and strapped it to a stick Indian style with a string wrap.

Bruce, you may have something for the ugly knife contest in that one.
Now that Peter has kicked it off making a video, when can we expect to see the Bruce Evans Knife making video series?

Bruce very nice. I wish I still had my first knife made in high school shop class out of an old file. Cory

thats great your dad found that. i still have my first from five years ago. maybe i will inter it this year. its a shoe in to win in the ugly dept,
:D
