Took me some time but I finaly got ahold of a BM 45! I've got the box for it and it's labled a "custom finish" it also says "limited edition." I think I remember reading that some of the 45's had milled handles. Just looking at the tooling marks inside the handles I was thinking this may be milled. Is there anyway to tell?

Check out the pics (go easy on the picture quality, this was my first try and I didnt spend to much time on it). thanks all

I'd like to know the same thing.... Anybody?

congrats. you got one of the "pre pro" BM45's with the hand milled handles :) VERY cool piece.

some had dull satin blades which are now the 45 blade and some (older?) had high polish 239 type blades.

A great one to latch onto!! Congrats!

Best way to tell if it's milled is if the tooling marks are narrow micro-grooves running the length of the channel. I've also seen semi-circular bit marks in my customs. Sorry I couldn't be more precise.

I would say that I ended up with a much cooler knife than I was expecting when I bought it. I am sure the handles are milled like Sniperboy said.

You were the one that pointed me to it tonyccw! Thanks

shhh, Mr. Tony is kicking himself now :p
not to worry though it's good karma points for next month's hunt.

Very nice. The blade on ours looks wider than mine. Still I know the feeling I had when I got my BM 45. It swings so well but I stopped carrying it because BM said that they would not service it anymore. Now I just play with it at home.

Snipes is right. I'm LOUDLY kicking myself right now. I can't believe I let one get away.... Oh well, I can't complain, I'm already that close to divorce court :)

Don't worry tony, what goes around comes around. Besides, I seem to recall you had a pretty good month with out it....
