Found powder metal kit, any ideas??

I scored this kit of powdered metal and powdered nickel base compound? in a kit form with what looks like a torch to blow it on? Looks like it was used for maybe coating valves or lining cylinders?? I got exciting when i saw the nickel, figured i could do some experiments with my new forge i just got, looking for any ideas really, have alot to play with, any help would be great guys, thanks...wes...

I would call the company on the label and find out what you have. That is if you have any labels left. I had a bunch of that powder and most all of it was for hard facing. Not really good for knives. Way to hard and brittle to work. But you never know, if it is pure or near pure it would work great for canister damascus. Just find out what all you can about it.
