For those of you who like the idea of a keeping a pen handy at all times, either on your keyring, attached to a neck lanyard, or attached to a belt loop or shoulder bag strap, take a gander at these:

I was going to say how it looked like the Ion and the papermate copy of it until I saw the magic words "fisher space pen refil" . Now I need one.
Thanks alot :)

Fisher once made a neck chain version of the bullet space pen, in sliver. Gave my wife one at some holiday a few years ago.

They still do but I like the idea of no cap to lose with the pull to open setup.

It looks nice on women. Guys usually don't wear them because they look a bit too much like jewelry.

Is that the standard space pen cartrigde or the "universal" one that holds way less ink?

Anyone planning on ordering any?
I just bought a new fisher bullet stylus, but I'm curious to how these work for people...

Not yet... :( ... must wait for payday.

I guess I'm the only one that loses these things... on the key ring a week... takes up to much space, goes back to a bic.

You lose them? The whole keyring thing is supposed to make the pens handy, convenient, and rather difficult to lose. Unless you don't replace the writing portion of the pen back on the keyring, or you are extra-ordinarily hard on your keyrings.

Good idea, but I prefer a "cappable" pen like the basic Space pen. I've tried the Cross Ion and similar retractables, but the tips inevitably collect dust during pocket carry. I also like the slimmer profile of the Space pen, and the length the cap adds to the back is better than the "extension" style pens like the Ion, at least for me.

You could use a pencil you know... Writes upside down, under pressure, on grease, many surfaces etc.

Its not like you have to worry about pencil shavings and broken lead in a zero g environment filled with pure oxygen now is it? :P

Oh wait... Gadget forum you say?

Or get a draftsman leadholder (variations on the theme of mechanical pencil).

Nah... I end up ditching em before they get to many lines of hard writting use. Rather large and bulky when tied into a key chain in my opinion... :D
