Found some info on Wire Jacks.

Thanks Luis for breaking me out of the blue funk I was in discussing the Taylor/China deal. Great link! Here's my only one.. a flea market find priced at fifty cents. Rusted and corroded, but still has the sheet metal liner piece, and get this.. it still works. Probably cost only pennies, but damn it, the thing will open, stay open very well, will still cut, and it's an interesting little knife to carry in my pocket. Someday I've gotta add a nice toothpick style (they made them) to my collection.

These show up frequently on Ebay, some in the Boy or Girl Scout colors. Sometimes some very interesting descriptions about them.. survival knives, WW1 knives, things like that.

Good one, Luis! Margueritas for everyone!

I have seen them frequently in my searches for Stagbrand fixed blade knives. Always interesting, I just have to stop and look at them. Many are in excellent shape, having only seen a camping trip or two before being stored for fifty or more years.

That site has some interesting Schrade history information as well. Thanks for posting it Luis!

There is a buyer on ebay "wirejack" whom has a real soft spot for these.
Anyone know the buyer?
