These used knives were found in some of my grandfather's stuff. The Boker dogleg jack (9903) with spear & pen blades and 'Improved Stag Type Handles' (looks to be jigged bone) is in the best shape. (2-7/8") I have only barely oiled and wiped these knives off.

A John Primble/ India Steel Works split back whittler (5399.) To me it looks like Mother-of-Pearl handles. The blades aren't in the best shape. (just a tick under 3")

The Robeson (622319) was the toughest to get open but it's not in bad shape. I'm pretty sure that the handles are black plastic of some kind (hard black rubber?). (just a tad over 3")

The Boker is how just about everybody but Case used to make a peanut. Most old makers made small doglegs or reverse doglegs (same curve as the Case peanut) of about 3" to 3 1/8" (Case did too in the Tested XX era - a 3" version) - but dropping down to 2 7/8" and a lighter build with thinner blades, they went with the squarish bolster instead.

As to the Robeson's scales, it's tough to know. Several makers used black celluloid formed into "improved stag" and other names -- some of these looked really good and have proven very stable over time. Whatever they loaded the cel with to make it black and totally opaque seems to have defanged the instability of cel. I tend to call the black handles Robeson used during WWII and a couple of years after "hard rubber", but I don't know that for sure (they don't look like this one's scales though).

The Robeson 622319 has bone handles, I think.
They were made with both bone and plastic handles however.
Check the handle material under magnification.
Either way, the knife is a sure collectible
I found a similar knife a few years back.
Well made knife.

Cool old knives.Grandpa bought good stuff. That little Robeson rough black would be a great little pocket carry and take a razor blade edge.
