Hello Everyone,

Just found these old cheapy pocket knives today that belonged to my grand father. Figured some of you knife nuts would enjoy looking at them. Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

Nice! The Imperial and Camco may be low price point knives, but they seem to have held up well over the years. Still good knives. I like the Robesons too. Thanks for showing them!

Thanks for your interest. They are pretty neat knives. Little tough to open but hopefully some bluelube can help with that. Anyone have cleaner or similar versions of these?

Interesting knives, pretty cool look into the past. W. I. Skinner & Company was a tobacco processor in Williamston NC, was your Grandfather a tobacco farmer? OH

A light application of mineral oil to the joints and springs migh bring them back to life in short order. And kill the active rust blooms too. I suggest using a q-tip, not submerging them.

Yes, I have knives similar to those. But mine are not heirloom knives. Yours have much more value.

Appreciate the kind words and advice Codger.

Hunter, he was a tobacco salesman for some long forgotten company. Traveled abroad quite a bit as well.

I'm liking Robeson's more and more so I'm glad you posted them up. Thanks for sharing.

You may say Cheapo - but these" basic" brands such as Camco Imperial - actually made good basic users - that have lasted the distance so far, and ...they were your Grandads , in other words a treasure!
