Found me two axes one a Kelly work and a Kelly perfect. Need ideas of how to clean them and needs new handles. I have no idea how to post pics

Set up an account with Photobucket or the like, upload your photos, and then past the IMG link they give you into a reply here. Presto...insta-photos!

Most folks here are fans of patina, so hitting them with a knotted wire cup brush on an angle grinder is likely all they cleanup they need. If they need sharpening, follow the An Ax to Grind USFS tutorial vir their video which can be found on Youtube or via the PDF of the publication (which includes a bit gauge as well). Use a file and then stones/sandpaper to get it sharp, and rehang them on some new handles. New handles can be had from House Handle or my other favorite, Council Tool. Or if you're lucky, you can find some good ones in the hardware store (most are not good, but some are every now and then). Rehang it per the same manual (An Ax to Grind), oil the handle and head, and you've got yourself a new axe!
