I really like pictures of knives that have been used.

The wear, the battle scars, tell a story, and that is even more interesting than the many pictures of pristine knives.
 
Excellent - I know the feeling... Saw a thread some days ago about first knives, so I did a little digging and found my first. It's also a Buck - a 305. I liked it so much that I ended up buying another one some years later (first one is on top in this pic):
