I must have 20 benchmades, about seven which make the EDC rotation.

Went to a local shop, didn't see anything I didn't have or need and finally decided to try a H&K 14210 drop point plain edge.

I am in love with this knife!

Anyone know who at Benchmade designed this beauty? And for the love of God why isn't it in the Benchmade product line instead of being made for H&K?

I can't wait to go buy another one and folks, if you havent already, I suggest you buy one too.

There is NO WAY this knife won't make it to the top of your rotation.

Trust me on this one.

I've been looking at the H&K 14210 for a long time. I really do like it and hope to get it someday. I was considering it for my last knife purchase, but I picked up the 940 instead. I've been considering my first Spyderco (Para2), but maybe I should take another look at this one. Hmm, decisions decisions.

Congrats on your new knife. We'd all love to see some pictures.

I have a benchmade 14200 and it is great. Jewel like action, strong axis lock and amazing geometry on the 154cm blade. Carrying it right now!

940 is a damn nice knife as well though.

Hell, Para 2 has one hell of a following as well (I don't have one yet)

You will love the H&K though.

It is a nice little knife. I had one and carried it for a few weeks. The 14210 now resides in my brothers car bag. It reminds me of a Minigrip in G-10.

Not my style, but marvellous knife for those whose style it is. I particularly like the bolsters but not the swedge.

Too tactical looking. Handle doesn't look to ergonomic at all. Good blade shape though, love the blade. Just not digging the handle.

Great knife, wonderful blade shape and good ergos (for me). Its very well made, but it is a little heavy, but that gives a quality, tank like feel and heft to it. It does a lot of things well.

Too expensive, too ugly (don't like big letters), IMHO...

$100 is a drop in the bucket, imo , and as far as the H&K etch a light scrub with scotch-brite would take care of that. Looks like a good value piece of kit to me. I like Snody's stuff anyway- I'd go to the source myself.

I've had a 14210 and a 14205 for a long time. They both get carried and used. They are two of BM's best products IMAO. I don't care for big brand logos either, but the knives are so much fun to carry and use that I can overlook that. Same with my Bone Collector. Love the knife, hate the goofy "branding", but I'm still gonna carry and use it 'cause it works so well.

The perfect EDC is not BM;)

For you maybe. Other people really like them. I don't like all their designs but some are amazing. But I would probably like any company that was using the AXIS lock.

To the OP, check out the 14205. It is similar and my favorite in that series. Have fun with your new knife.

Actually JUST got mine in the mail yesterday, but I'm very disappointed. Blade is not centered in the handle and the axis lock sticks like hell way worse than any BM I've felt. If you read online, more than a few people have this problem, it seems, but most people are very pleased.

Mine probably couldn't cut through butter, either. Deciding whether I want to send it to BM or if I should just return it to where I bought it online.
