Found this a few months ago.

I have been getting some questions about it since I posted some pictures of the silver pieces.

I move around a lot because of my job. I recently y moved out of an apartment that y had rented for & months. The guy that lived there, died 1 year before I got in to that apartment (a fact that they did not tell me till after I signed the renter’s contract) it probably was his.

I am very paranoid, so I did a complete sweep of the apartment and i found a small box under the water cooler.

It’s a mix of some silver pieces and gold, that round thin I think has silver in the scrolling; I haven’t had the chance to have it checked.

Thanks for looking:)

That's some crazy amount of jewelries and accessories...want to get them blessed? exorcised?

I have no idea, maybe I should. It appears that ther are a few jewish marked pices like the gold star of David and one of the silver bars. But a lot of the chains do seem to be lady jewelry, and what I'm pretty sure is a silver wedding band whit a diamond in it.

One other explanation could be that the guy that stashed this was a thief and that all of this stuff might be stolen.

Pretty fancy box for a thief but who knows...

This'll teach the landlords not to clean up after a tenant passes...

Beautiful stuff...

If you have no way of getting the stuff back to the family of the original owner, (I wouldn't try too hard, if I were you) I'd definitely consider selling the stuff that you didn't personally want to keep for yourself.

Gold and Silver are at all-time highs these days at about $1500/oz for gold and $40/oz. for silver. You could have enough money there to buy a very nice knife, or two.

Look for Hallmarks on each piece. You may even have a bit of Platinum in the mix.

Being as you are outside of the USA, you may have a hard time finding someone willing to pay top dollar for the metals, but here's a place that I trust. Don't know their policy on Foreign trading, but they offer the best prices I've seen.

Good luck, and congrats on a nice Pirate Treasure!

mmmmmm, a box hidden deeply away, that has rings, braceletts and chains in it of all diferent styles, I had to laugh at the conversation that just took place here about this...but then i thought about it seriously...
dont serial killers/rapists keep this sort of stuff of the victims?

sounds silly I know.....

I really thought about it, I have been looking the previous occupants information, it seem he was a divorced father of 2 and worked for the gas company. No problems whit the law on his record. Maybe I’m looking at the wrong guy and this box was put there a long time before he was in the house.

It wasn't put there before 1973 at least, but I guess that's a long time ago now.

Seeing as two of the items in the lot have Jewish symbols on it, I’m going to see if I can track down any privies occupants of the house that have Jewish names. I really don’t want to just keep this whit out trying to find the rightful owner.
