18 inch 25 ounce Foxy Folly by Purna. White metal fittings. Very slight shrinkage of wood handle and one minute rust removal time on blade tip.
Great value at $95. *SOLD*



18 inch 39 ounce GRSBC by Purna Sankhar Kami. Great rig. Pala repaired the shrinkage of wood handle and is it ready for use. $100 even. *SOLD*



15 inch 22 ounce BAS by Purna. Usual fine work by Purna. Small hairline crack on horn handle. Huge saving for first time HI Knife collector at $89. *SOLD*



16.5'' 29 ounce villager fit and finish Baghe (tiger) knife by Padam. Slight shrinkage of satisal wood handle. Bargain at $75. *SOLD*

Ya did dang good there David:thumbup: Thats seems like a bit more drop than usual. Aunti told me a few days ago she had them but if'd known they looked that good i might had snagged it before it wet public:D

I haven't gotten the Done Deal yet. Yangdu's posting was 1:20pm and my email was 1:22pm, so I think I got it, but maybe someone else was super-fast. I re-sent the email just in case, but who knows. The FF is marked sold, so somebody got it.

Well good luck. She might have another. I asked her about a Purna Dui Chirra since I continually miss out on them.

Do have Bagh Bhairab ceremonial knife made by Purna in stock as well as Foxy Folly.

Well, I got the Foxy Folly. This was the strangest transaction I've had with HI. I sent my email to Yangdu 2 minutes after she posted the FF, before she even finished posting the photos for the other knives. Then I waited. And waited. And waited.

I never did get the Done Deal email. I got no response to followup emails. I figured there was a problem with Yangdu's email, or maybe she was super busy. I was worried that maybe my original email didn't go through. The FF was marked "sold" on the posting, but I couldn't be sure that it was sold to me. Anyway, two days later the triangle box arrived with the Foxy Folly. I added on an estimated $15 for shipping and sent the Paypal payment.

The Foxy Folly is a beauty -- like all of Purna's work. Yangdu listed it as 18" OAL, but it's really 18.5". The weight is 25 oz as listed, and it feels very light in the hand. Yangdu listed it as a "blem" but the handle shrinkage and rust spot are extremely slight, almost unnoticeable. The fullers are sharp and deep. I won't take additional photos at this time because Yangdu's photo at the top of this thread is better than anything I could do.

I have to say that the 10/19 DOTDs were great bargains even by Yangdu's excellent standards. I was tempted to also try for the 18 inch 39 ounce GRSBC by Purna Sankhar Kami, but I know from experience that 39 oz is a bit too much for me in a one-handed blade.
