I've never seen an HI knife with a black bolster (the BAS villager.) Looks very attractive. $65 for a lifetime knife is a steal.

Oh, sorry.. I just sent an e-mail to Yangdu regarding the "villager BAS." I figured it was already snatched up, but I would give it a try.

There have been a few during the latest villagers. I am not sure though if there really is a bolster there or if the kamis just made it look like one. I think I recall seeing one of these from a side view and the tang is visable where the bolster would be. In any case it is a neat feature.

I must be one of the most Fortunate Guys on the planet.... my Wife does not only Not "mind" , but encourages my case of "HIKV"!!

In fact when it came to deciding which Everest Katana to get, She chose the Decorative Scabbard version!

So I am in the process of gathering the funds for it..... hoping to get one with a substantial amount of curve to the blade!!

Break her in slow.......
They are always that way at first, trying the encouragement route.
then they realise that going out and the occasional dinner have been pre-empted by yet another sharp pointy object coming in the mail, only to lay around for someone to fall on and get hurted.

and then that's when the dread HikV will hit you really bad.........
Cuz,a guy needs more khuk's to defend his khuk's.
and then comes the sneaking them in!!!!!.............

I am Still laughing soo hard that I woke my Wife from a nap......She IS a Very Unique Woman.... But I think the fact that We both encourage the other to do things that we enjoy is a large part of Our still really Liking this marriage thing after not quite 9 years!

In fact She bought me my 1st pointy thing... a US Army Saber.
We have never looked back since then!

She would like something along the lines of a Sgian Dubh, but made by HI.
She is very interested in the Lifestyle and customs of the Himalayan people and Kamis etc, and is just wating for HI to make something along the line of a Sgian Dubh!!

The "Little Rusty" knife is HI's version of the Sgian Dubh. It could be requested as a special order by emailing Aunt Yangdu.

10" Pen Knife, cool!!!! Anyone wanted a Ka-Bar replacement, there it is.

Would you believe that I am overcoming (trying anyway) my fear of needles to buy more HI knives.... my work pays for blood donations (research).
