I've been watching for an ASTK, but want wood handle. Hope you guys got 'em, and didn't get stealth sharked. That CR looks like it has an especially nasty point and back part of the spine (I know it has a name, but can't think of it right now). Cool stuff!

I don't remember what it's called either but it's kind of scary. Usually they aren't cutting sharp but very very close. Wouldn't take much to make it sharp.
The Ultimate Fighter is even scarier, same kind of deal but more of it and it is sharp. One can never forget it's there when handling or one will get bit, bloodshed is never pretty, manly yes but never pretty.

Swedge or False Edge.

Thank you snowwolf - It has been several days since auntie Yangdu has posted, i was a bit eager. Know it will be loved, and it looks like the handle will fit like a glove, so used extensively. My poor pinky is very excited.

Brother BB is right, I have been tracking astk for some time, and has proven to be as elusive and rare as the legends tell. This is the perfect size weight that i had hoped for. I broke out in a sweat when I saw that price. I love my wood, but im crazy about the smooth warmth of horn. I wont get started on stag (this dosent count,) you guys are not going to believe the depth and richness of color that pops in sunlight. And the weight? (Ok, now i am getting started) suffice to say it was appropriately called a light saber.

After giving this astk a warm mineral oil bath, i will post pics of the last few to grace my company. I am so lucky!

I hope you get the WWII Ballistol, that was my second choice, and in my future.

Will the mineral oil unshrink the handle?

No, but curb any more. I will lightly file down the tang if it is uncomfortable, but probably wont have to
