I'll take the Kbit

I saw that coming and was just sitting here telling myself "i don't think warty has one of those yet, i wonder how long it will take him to shark it" :D Now you only have to find the other two variations. :D

I actually do have one of them, I need the K-bit C to complete the set then those are out of the way.

This one will be my first of many HI gifts. :)

I'll take the:

I've been researching Kydex sheath materials, this just might be a great knife to try out a couple of ideas I have. :D

Email sent..
Thank you

How can I look at them here in Reno if you guys buy them *all* first???
:-)
Oh, and keep on the lookout for a review next week on a NICE blade.

Fiber signals move at ~200,000m/s. In your car (abiding by traffic laws) you'll probably manage ~20m/s at best. Gonna have to keep up and shoot emails if you want to be an effective shark :p

Joking aside, looking forward to your review! Any chance you could spill the beans on what blade it'll be? Perhaps a small hint? ;)

Hehe, a hint? OK. It's not small... I have some outside feedback already.

What's kind of one of those odd things is that Yangdu is three blocks from where my mom lived.

maybe the really old one that just came in? I am sort of wondering what this would be like, or is it the great big ASTK that was in the lastest shipment? The 21" inch one? That would be a really nice one for the Nephilim Khuk Kollection I have begun.;)

Back when Uncle Bill was still with us, I bought a 12" AK blem for $50.00
Rusty called this model the "pocket battleship" of khukuris. It is a very sturdy little knife, believe me.

Lookie...Years later and the same model is available at the same price.

Proof that good HI value has not changed....and that some one here needs to buy it.

Ordered up some Kydex materials and parts, I plan on trying to fab a Kydex sheath for the Villager black blade.
Anyone have any special tricks for Kydex & Khukuri? I spent some time over the last year or so researching.
I'll post some pics when I get started.
Thanks

looking forward to seeing those results Superintendent.
I have actuallu been curious to see what one of the smaller Khuks would look like in a kydex sheath.

How would a 12" AK do with heavy chopping duties? Might consider buying it at this price point.

Usually for heavy chopping you want to start at 15 inches and go larger, depending on your physical size. The Khukuri's are measured in Overall length, so a 12 incher is going to have roughly 6 inches of blade. Don't get me wrong though, a 12 inch AK will chop amazingly well for it's size. A "Pocket Battleship" is an apt term for it, as Mike L. Stated in post #10.

I have and use my 12" CAK for chopping, mostly stuff like tree trimming. It hasn't let me down for this ever, but I am not chopping anything bigger than 3" diameter stuff when I do this... it is the small size that allows me to use it in the tangle of branches without tearing the heck outta everything else. Not sure how well it would do with major chopping chores though but for that kind of thing it works reallly well for me.

Okay, thanks guys. I'm looking to get my first khukri and a blem to boot since money is a factor. Maybe one DOTD when the sharks are sleeping I'll get lucky :)

we never sleep!

though I have been known to go on vacation now and then.

HAHA! I've found your Achilles heel! Wait, do sharks have heels?

Apparently some people have far too many HI khukuris and like to sell them in the Exchange forums. I'll be prowling around there for a while...

I have far too many and am likely to start trying to figure out a direction to be collecting now. When I get it figured out, I will eliminate that which doesn't fit the theme to more of that which does.

Hi guys. Been lurking in this particular forum for the past couple of days; think we'll start off my venture into this section of the blade world with an 'I'll take the 12.5" Ang Khola, email inbound':D Got a good feeling about this pocket battleship.
